Long time no see

Today's weather

It is a mostly nice, sunny day today, on the cool side.  Yesterday was very wet.  The ships in the photo are waiting to be loaded with logs for China.  Just lately, we have had several big vessels anchored in the bay.  While the CP strike was on we had two grain vessels in the harbor for about ten days.  It does add another dynamic to the scenery, and at night they are all lit up.

Most of what has been happening, has been on the outside.  Now the siding is finished and the eavestrough went on yesterday.

and the back

Looking forward to this

I have to show you my new feature wall in our suite downstairs.

This is downstairs in our living area.  In order to do the siding on the lower level, we had to put in this new window which is bigger and deeper than what we had before.  The window will be in my sewing area, once the upstairs is finished, so I am looking forward to looking out on the water while I am doing my quilting.

A look at the retaining wall that we have built, and the room for extra parking that we have now achieved.

This week, J has been doing the shingle trim, and preparing the forms for the front step, and then the driveway.  Work on installing the decking should begin tomorrow.
